Another Executive Bites the Dust

According to WWD, Old Navy president, Dawn Robertson leaves after a little more than a year. Tom Wyatt, president of Gap's Outlet division, will be acting president.

Old Navy seems to be going through some growing pains and self imposed changes. So, Fashiontary wasn’t surprised to hear about Robertson leaving. If you haven’t heard, Old Navy is trying to reinvent themselves as a retailer for women in their twenties and thirties. They are interested in designing a sexier and trendier line of clothing. But what about the maternity and kids clothing line? Will quality be replaced by quantity based on these changes?

They are reportedly trying to emulate H&M’s business, where everything is produced quickly and caters to that customer who constantly needs stylish clothing. In addition to all of these changes, they have put together a fresh ad campaign and are in the process of renovating their stores. Stay tuned.
