No Glitz or Glam for the Golden Globes

It was no surprise that there was no glitz or glamor last night at the Golden Globes. Because of the writers strike, the show was scaled down to a press conference. Since none of the nominated actors would cross the picket lines, we missed out on seeing all the fabulous dresses, shoes and accessories we normally associate with these events.
The big question I have is what will designer Allen Schwartz [ABS] do? Allen is known for identifying and re-creating "must have" dresses at moderate price points so us real people can afford them. Without a steady supply of red-carpet dresses to copy, I don't know what he will be putting out this season.
I'm guessing that a variety of designers will be using this green dress worn by Keira Knightly in Atonement as an inspiration for dresses at all different price points. While this dress is extremely beautiful, the original version looks like it may not be easy to wear- agree?
Hopefully, the writers' strike will be resolved by the time the Oscars roll around so we can watch the fabulous glitz and glamor then. My fingers are crossed!
