Diane Von Furstenberg- Fashion Icon

Fashiontary was reading the blog, Snow Whites Legacy, the other day and noticed a link to an article in the Huffington Post about Diane Von Furstenberg. Fashiontary loves LOVES loves Diane Von Furstenberg's clothing. Diane Von Furstenberg is known by most for her Wrap Dress, which is her signature piece. The dress became hot in the 70's and again 9 years ago when celebs began to wear vintage versions. Diane says the wrap dress is the most traditional form of dressing: "It's like a robe, it's like a kimono, it's like a toga;" the main reason Fashiontary believes it stood out was because it was made of jersey which clings to you in a very comfortable yet chic way. Three things I learned about the designer/icon:
1) She uses pictures of nature as her inspiration;
2) She says she's pragmatic and practical and makes traveling clothes - i.e. clothes that travel well; and,
3) Her style icons include Marlene Dietrich, Sarah Bernhardt, Jackie Kennedy, Mother Theresa and Angelina Jolie. [very interesting]
